Types of Indonesia Public Holiday
In Indonesia, public holidays are divided into three main categories: religious, national, and international.
Religious Holidays
Buddhism, Catholicism, Hinduism, Islam, and Protestantism are the five official religions acknowledged by the Indonesian government. The religious holidays that are celebrated in Indonesia are listed below:

Cuti Bersama or Collective Leave
There are a total of 22 days of holidays in 2021, including 7 days of Collective Leave. It is worth a one month holiday in total. Once the government releases the Collective Leave for 2022, you can come back to our article about Indonesia public holiday and learn about the update.
“Cuti Bersama” (Collective Leave) was initially introduced to encourage the domestic tourism industry when a working day fell in between two holidays. However, due to the pandemic situation, the government is assessing the effect of the current Lockdown Policy (PPKM) and the ambitious vaccination goals before announcing the Collective Leave for 2022.
